MEET THE STAFF

Any one of our friendly staff at Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers is knowledgeable in gems and jewels and would be more than happy to assist you in finding or creating that special piece that will bring your years of enjoyment and become a cherished, lifelong heirloom.

Scott & Kelly Wickam are the owners and keep very busy trying to keep things exciting for our customers. They travel to Antwerp, Belgium twice a year to hand-select the best diamonds at the best possible prices for their customers. They also travel around the country to various jewelry shows to keep our inventory current with the latest styles in jewelry. When Scott is not jet-setting around the world, he enjoys designing on his new computer aided design program.

Jim Kyle is the General Manager of Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers. He brings to the table over 20 years of jewelry experience. He is from Colorado and is an avid skier and outdoor enthusiast. Jim's enthusiasm in both work and life are contagious and when you meet him, you can't help but smile. His goal is to give every single customer that walks through the doors of Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers the most amazing shopping experience of their life. His biggest compliment was when a customer referred to her time in our store as comparable to being in a spa. Make sure you meet Jim when you come to our store!

Cassidy Planichek CSA is the Assistant Manager at Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers. She comes to us from Rocky Mountain College with a degree in Communication and Equine Journalism. Her friendly and outgoing personality shines through as she guides you through the latest styles and trends. Cassidy is also the Insurance Specialist at Goldsmith Gallery so feel free to come to her with questions about insuring your valuable jewelry. She is a Certified Sales Associate through the American Gem Society and has graduated from Hearts on Fire University. Cassidy enjoys photography, swing dancing, camping, snow mobiling, boating, jet skiing, rafting, tubing and horseback riding.

Onna Stene GIA AJP, GG is our gemologist. Onna has a passion for gemology, geology and astronomy. Onna lives in Big Timber where she enjoys everything that the great state of Montana has to offer with her son Joel. Her hobbies include a wide variety of activities such as ranching, horseback riding, fishing, skiing, and camping. She also has a degree in Landscape Design. Come to her for all of your jewelry appraising needs.

Stephen Thode CBJ is a Certified Bench Jeweler and Goldsmith Gallery's CAD Designer. He is from Washington and completed his CAD (Computer Aided Design) training in Texas. He graduated top 3 in his class and won several awards for design while he was there. His capabilities with CAD let you sit down and watch him design your ring as you watch. Make an appointment today to see what he can design for you! Stephen enjoys rock climbing, hiking, biking, skiing, music, and is currently enjoying fixing up a motorcycle.

Ashley Vincelette was raised in Lakeport, CA and graduated from West High in Billings, MT. She enjoys spending time with her family at their cabin in Cooke City, scrapbooking and riding her motorcycle. She has been with Goldsmith Gallery for over a year and has a lot of passion for what she does - she particuarly enjoys helping her customer's design custom jewelry. Ashley's favorite part of selling jewelry is helping people make the most romantic moments in their life perfect and seeing her customers smile. Jason Thompsonhas been working in the Jewelry industry as a sales associate for a little over 3 years. Jason and his wife Kristin just recently moved to Billings from Missoula so that he could become a part of the exceptional staff here at Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers. He studied communication with an emphasis in human relations at the University of Montana, as well as obtaining the Acredited Jewelry Professionals degree from the Gemological Institute of America. Jason is also studying to earn his Graduate Gemologist degree through GIA as well, Jason says the more he learns about gems and jewelry, the more he falls in love with this outstanding industry. It is truley a passion of his! In his free time away from work, Jason enjoys working out with his wife, as well as camping and watching the lastest movies to come out on video.

Marisa Foster has almost three years experience in the jewelry industry. She recently moved from Michigan to Billings with her husband Kyle and graduated with a degree in communications from Michigan State University. Marisa is fascinated with jewelry because there is always something to learn and new trends are always coming out. She loves dancing, reading, fishing, boating, and watching movies. But mostly just spending time with her husband and two dogs.

Tara Britzius is our adventurous associate who loves to travel, ride motorcycles and work out. Health, fitness and well-being are very important to her as well as her family (she’s a newly-wed!) and her friends and her two min-pins. Tara loves sharing special moments helping her customers find the perfect pieces of jewelry for their special occasion no matter what it may be!

Brenda Scherer is our amazing bookkeeper. She describes her life as, "as close to perfect as it can get!" She attributes that to her husband (Tod, yes only 1 “d”, Best husband ever), Daughter (Monica 19 years old), Dog (Ridge smartest Miniature Schnauzer ever). Brenda's hobbies include reading, crocheting, spending time with family and friends, gardening, playing cards, traveling, and cooking. She is an avid sports fan and her favorite time of year is summer due to having the nicest and best neighbors with the best neighborhood BBQ/parties. She has been in Accounting field for 16 years, worked for Specialized Accounting Services who worked for Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers for the last 3 ½ years, then came to GGJ in May 2011 as an actual employee, and says, "I love working here!"

Waverly Huston is one of our interns here at Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers. She is a junior at West High School and enjoys camping, biking, and figure skating. She is very friendly and when she is not at the store, she spends her time volunteering at her church and teaching Learn to Skate classes. Waverly loves helping customers find the perfect Pandora charms to make any occasion special!

Caitlin Cox was born and raised in Billings. She just graduated from high school this year. She loves to paint, workout, bike, and staying busy! She is on her way to explore the great city of Bozeman, MT and attend MSU next year. She is enjoying the great opportunity she has had working in the fun-loving environment of Goldsmith Gallery Jewelers!
